Overview
Kisspeptin-54 is the full-length, 54-amino acid form of kisspeptin, the master regulator of the reproductive hormone axis. While shorter kisspeptin fragments (Kisspeptin-10) retain receptor activity, the full-length form represents the complete endogenous ligand with potentially different pharmacokinetic and signaling properties.
Mechanism of Action
Same receptor target (GPR54/KISS1R) as shorter kisspeptin forms. The full-length peptide may have different binding kinetics, receptor internalization rates, and signaling bias compared to truncated fragments. It activates GnRH neurons to drive the entire HPG reproductive cascade.
