Overview

GW-0742 is a highly selective PPARdelta (Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor delta) agonist. PPARdelta is a nuclear receptor involved in fatty acid oxidation, energy expenditure, and inflammation regulation. GW-0742 is a close structural analog of GW-501516 (Cardarine) with potentially improved selectivity. Note: this is a small molecule, not a peptide.

Mechanism of Action

PPARdelta activation upregulates genes involved in fatty acid oxidation, mitochondrial biogenesis, and oxidative metabolism in skeletal muscle and other tissues. It shifts the metabolic substrate preference from glucose to fatty acids, enhancing endurance capacity and fat utilization. It also modulates inflammatory gene expression.

Considerations for Researchers

Not a peptide -- small molecule nuclear receptor agonist. Very limited vendor base. Long-term safety profile requires further study. Store as directed.
